Chemical Dependency & Substance Abuse Programs

We Believe in Recovery

South Oaks Hospital, located on the Nassau/Suffolk border on Long Island, New York, offers a full range of specialized programs for adults 18 years and older who suffer from addictive disorders, including alcoholism and substance abuse, such as heroin or other drugs.

Patients are treated in a safe and private facility through inpatient, outpatient and intensive outpatient admissions, which all include the world-renowned South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS) to evaluate pathological gambling addiction.

For patients who are affected by coexisting disorders – a combination of addictive disorder(s) and mental illness(es) – South Oaks can provide comprehensive psychiatric services in the Chemical Dependency and Substance Abuse Program.

Our treatments utilize a multidisciplinary team of board certified psychiatrists, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and nurse practitioners, social workers, and credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselors to facilitate recovery.
